Jane Beach, a Washington Township resident and attorney announced the names of 10 Centerville and Washington Township residents willing to serve on a Merger Study Commission at the June 16, 2008 Centerville Council meeting. The Centerville and Washington Township governments recently reviewed the findings of a joint financial study, which both governments funded. Ms. Beach announced that based on the results of the financial study, it is in the best interest of the community to have a Merger Commission further study the consolidation of the two governments. Pick up farm fresh fruits and vegetables every Thursday July 10-October 30 from 1-6 p.m. The Centerville Farmers Market will be set up in the Cross Point Vineyard Church parking lot at 38 N. Main St. All produce is locally grown or made. Some produce is certified organic. Admission is free and public parking is available. |

The Centerville Police Department is proud to announce the 17th Annual Mystery Night Out. The event will be held at Stubbs Park, 255 W. Spring Valley Road on Tuesday, August 5th and will promote pedestrian safety. Registration for the clue search begins at 6:00 p.m. with a kickoff at 6:30 p.m. Teams of 2-6 people will solve puzzles which will take them throughout the City of Centerville. |

Art in the Heart is a summer celebration of art, music, food, and shopping in downtown Centerville sponsored by the Centerville Arts Commission, the Centerville-Washington Foundation and the Heart of Centerville. Art in the Heart will be held on June 28, July 26, August 30 and September 27 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. |

Municipal volunteers were recently recognized at the City of Centerville's annual Volunteer Salute held at The Golf Club at Yankee Trace. The Volunteer Salute recognizes the more than 350 volunteers working in Centerville municipal offices and as members of council-appointed boards and commissions. |

The Summer Concert Series brings talented musicians and performers to the Stubbs Park Amphitheater stage all summer long. All concerts are free and the series begins on June 1. In addition to concerts being held almost every Sunday this summer, special concerts are also planned for Wednesday, June 18, Saturday, June 14, Thursday, July 3, and Saturday, August 30. Most concerts begin at 7:00 p.m., except where otherwise noted. Please call the Concert Hotline at 433-7155 for updates and possible weather cancellation information.
